Junior Graphic Designer | Calgary

Position Summary |
Aspen Properties is seeking a talented and driven Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. This role focuses on the execution of graphic design, communication, and brand tasks, supporting Aspen’s creative and operational needs. The Junior Graphic Designer will assist in creating visually compelling materials, support the development and delivery of Aspen’s social media content, and ensuring consistency across the Aspen Properties, Aspen Club, Aspen Flex, and Calgary Tower brands.

Regular work hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities |
​Graphic Design
-
Create and maintain print and digital signage for internal and external purposes across all Aspen Brands (including Aspen Properties, Aspen Club, Aspen Flex, and Calgary Tower).

Assist in the design and production of digital and physical materials, including:
-
Social media graphics.
-
Email templates and newsletters.
-
Campaign visuals and promotional assets.
-
Corporate templates (e.g., brochures, presentations, proposals)
-
Corporate branded products
-
Print coordination
-
-
Maintain a library of reusable design templates and digital assets (Canva).
-
Collaborates with the senior leadership team to develop and execute creative campaigns that drive engagement and awareness of our commercial real estate offerings.

Special projects and other duties as required.

Communications and Brand Support
-
Create, schedule, promote and manage content for social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and basic analytics reporting.
-
Assist with the coordination of email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp.

Coordinate photography and video logistics for communication and graphic design purposes.

Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of corporate websites.
-
Maintain and monitor external platforms, including Google Business listings and directory profiles.
-
Support communication and brand campaigns through the creation of visuals and materials.
-
Collaborate with the team to gather and implement feedback on design and communication and brand projects.
-
Work closely with the team on creative direction and strategy.
-
Participate in team brainstorming sessions for communication initiatives and campaigns.

Special projects and other support as required.

Qualifications |
-
Portfolio required showcasing graphic design capabilities.
-
University Degree or College diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
-
1-2 years of corporate graphic design experience, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom).
-
Experience with Canva or other collaborative design tools.
-
Social media experience, including content creation and platform management (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
-
Experience in Content Management and Website Design Systems (such as Wix, Squarespace, and Figma).
-
Photography experience is an asset.
-
Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects) is an asset.
-
Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to tailor the style, tone, and voice to represent our various lines of business and differing content.
-
Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts and tight deadlines.
